Despite the very cold windy weather the Daffodils have managed to poke their faces out and turn the green road sides a nice summery Yellow.
Florists in Hull will be glad to see some colour out and it will encourage us to buy flowers more to bring into the home and office.
Spring Flowers
Bulb flowers such as daffodils, Narcissus hybrids, tulips, hyacinth, are in season. Many have a really nice scenty smell. A lot of spring-flowering plants are sweet scented, including lily of the valley (Convallaria), Chamaelaucium, Genista (florists’ broom), and lilac.
Spring is the season for many blossoms like – Viburnum opulus (snowball tree) and cherry blossom (Prunus) being 2 of the nicer to look at.
